"Faddara'tum fiha" (And [then] you disputed about it) means: some of them cast the [blame for the] murder upon others.

Muhammad said: The root of "iddara'tum" is [tadara'tum]; the ta' was assimilated into the dal. Its meaning is "you pushed against one another" (tadafa'tum). It is said: "Dara'a al-kawkabu bi-daw'ihi" (the planet pushed forth with its light), meaning it propelled [it].
