His saying, the Almighty: "And Moses had certainly come to you with clear proofs," meaning: the first of them. "Then you took the calf [for worship] after he had gone, while you were wrongdoers."
قَوْله تَعَالَى: ﴿وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ مُوسَى بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ﴾ يَعْنِي: أوَّلهم ﴿ثُمَّ اتَّخَذْتُمُ الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ وَأَنْتُمْ ظَالِمُونَ﴾.
