Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 1 · Page 137

Translation · EN

As-sirata lladhina an'amta 'alayhim (the path of those whom You have favored) with Islam, ghayri l-maghdubi 'alayhim wa la d-dallin (not [the path of] those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who have gone astray). Al-Hasan said: Those who have earned anger are the Jews, and those who have gone astray are the Christians. This is a supplication that Allah commanded His Messenger to recite, and He established it as a Sunnah for him and for the believers.

Muhammad [Ibn Abi Zamanin] says: Whoever reads 'ghayri' with a kasrah (genitive case) does so on the basis that it is an appositional substitute (badal) for 'alladhina', and it is also permissible for it to be an adjective (na't).
