[Originator of the heavens and the earth] meaning: He brought them into existence without a precedent model. [And when He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is].
Muhammad said: The meaning of His saying ["Be," and it is] is: "So it comes to be."
﴿بديع السَّمَاوَات وَالْأَرْض﴾ أَي: ابتدعهما بِغَيْر مِثَال ﴿وَإِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كن فَيكون﴾.
قَالَ مُحَمَّد: قَوْله ﴿كُنْ فَيَكُونُ﴾ الْمَعْنى: فَهُوَ يكون.
