"Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recitation." Qatada said: They are the companions of the Prophet of Allah who believed in the Book of Allah, declared its lawful as lawful, avoided its unlawful as unlawful, and acted according to what is within it.
﴿الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُ حَقَّ تِلَاوَته﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَة: هُم أَصْحَاب نَبِي اللَّه آمنُوا بِكِتَاب اللَّه، وَأَحلُّوا حَلَاله، وَاجْتَنبُوا حرَامه، وَعمِلُوا بِمَا فِيهِ.
