Al-Hasan used to recite it: "We will worship your God and the God of your father Abraham and Ishmael," meaning: and the God of Ishmael and Isaac.

Muhammad said: Whoever recited it this way did so because he disliked considering the paternal uncle as a father.

The saying of the Exalted: "One God." Muhammad said: "One God" is in the accusative case, signifying: we worship your God in His state of oneness.
