Translation · EN

"Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah."

Muhammad said: The singular of "sha'a'ir" (symbols) is "sha'irah"; and they are everything that Allah has made a sign among the signs of obedience. "So whoever performs Hajj to the House or performs 'Umrah, there is no blame upon him"—meaning: there is no sin upon him—"for walking between them," meaning: to perform tawaf (circumambulation) between them.

Yahya: On the authority of Hammad, on the authority of Dawud ibn Abi Hind, on the authority of ash-Sha'bi, he said: ((Isaf was...))

﴿إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ الله﴾.

قَالَ مُحَمَّد: الشعائر وَاحِدهَا: شعيرَة؛ وهى كُلُّ شَيْء جعله اللَّه علما من أَعْلَام الطَّاعَة. ﴿فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلا جناج عَلَيْهِ﴾ أَي: لَا إِثْم عَلَيْهِ ﴿أَنْ يطوف بهما﴾ يَعْنِي: أَن يتطوف.
