their deeds. [And He will not purify them] meaning: He will not cleanse them of their sin. [And for them is a painful punishment] which is agonizing.
أفعالهم ﴿وَلَا يزكيهم﴾ أَي: وَلا يطهرهم من إثمهم ﴿وَلَهُم عَذَاب أَلِيم﴾ موجع.
