Translation · EN

"O you who have believed, fasting has been prescribed for you." The interpretation of Qatadah: It is the month of Ramadan. They were previously commanded to fast three days of every month and to pray two rak'ahs in the morning and two rak'ahs in the evening; that was the beginning of fasting and prayer. "[For] a limited number of days." Muhammad said: It is permissible for it to be [in the accusative case] (nasb).

﴿يَا أَيهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ﴾ تَفْسِير قَتَادَة: هُوَ شهر رَمَضَان؛ وَكَانُوا أمروا أَن يَصُومُوا ثَلَاثَة أَيَّام من كُلِّ شهر، ويصلوا رَكْعَتَيْنِ غدْوَة، وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ عَشِيَّة؛ فَكَانَ ذَلِكَ بَدْء الصّيام وَالصَّلَاة. ﴿أَيَّامًا معدودات﴾ قَالَ مُحَمَّد: يجوز أَن يكون نصب
