"And spend in the way of Allah, and do not cast by your own hands into destruction." Al-Hasan's interpretation is: He says: Your abandonment of spending in the way of Allah is your casting by your own hands into what will cause your destruction before Allah. "And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good." Qatadah said: He commanded them to spend in the way of Allah and to do good with what Allah has provided for them. [Verse 196]
﴿وَأَنْفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلا تلقوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَة﴾ تَفْسِير الحَسَن: يَقُولُ: إنَّ ترككم الْإِنْفَاق فِي سَبِيل اللَّه إلقاءٌ مِنْكُم بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى مَا يهلككم عِنْد اللَّه ﴿وَأَحْسِنُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يحب الْمُحْسِنِينَ﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَة: أَمرهم أَن ينفقوا فِي سَبِيل اللَّه، وَأَن يحسنوا فِيمَا رزقهم الله.
