Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 1 · Page 287206

Translation · EN

"And when it is said to him, 'Fear Allah,' pride leads him to sin." Qatadah's interpretation: When it is said to him, 'Fear Allah; for this which you are doing is not permissible for you,' he says: 'I am drawing closer to Allah through this.'

Allah says: "So Hell will be sufficient for him, and how wretched is the resting place." The words 'mihad' (resting place), 'bisat' (carpet), and 'firash' (bed) all have the same meaning. [Verse 207]
