from among the polytheists. Thus, He said: "And a believing slave man" whom a Muslim woman marries "is better than a polytheist, even though he might please you. Those invite to the Fire"; meaning: the polytheists invite to the Fire, that is, to their religion. He said: "While Allah invites to Paradise and to forgiveness, by His permission"; by His command. "And He makes clear His verses to the people"; meaning: the lawful and the prohibited, "that they might remember"; in order that they may remember. [Verse 222-223]
من الْمُشْركين؛ فَقَالَ: ﴿وَلَعَبْدٌ مُؤْمِنٌ﴾ تتزوجه الْمسلمَة ﴿خَيْرٌ مِنْ مُشْرِكٍ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكُمْ أُولَئِكَ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّار﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمُشْركين يدعونَ إِلَى النَّار؛ أَي: إِلَى دينهم، قَالَ: ﴿وَاللَّهُ يَدْعُوَ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَالْمَغْفِرَةِ بِإِذْنِهِ﴾ بأَمْره ﴿وَيبين آيَاته للنَّاس﴾ يَعْنِي: الْحَلَال وَالْحرَام ﴿لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ﴾ لكَي: يتذكروا.
