"Allah mocks them." Muhammad said: meaning, He recompenses them with the recompense for their mockery.
Yahya [narrated] from al-Mubarak ibn Fadalah, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The mockers will be brought on the Day of Resurrection. A gate from the gates of Paradise will be opened for them, and they will be called [to enter]. They will come, and when they reach the gate, it will be shut, so they will turn back. Then they will be called again to enter, and they will come, and when they reach the gate, it will be shut, so they will turn back. Then they will be called to enter, and they will come, and when they reach the gate, it will be shut, so they will turn back. Then they will be called [repeatedly] until they are called, but they will not come out of despair."
﴿الله يستهزئ بهم﴾ قَالَ مُحَمَّد: يَعْنِي: يجازيهم جَزَاء الِاسْتِهْزَاء.
يَحْيَى: عَنِ الْمُبَارَكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ: ((يجاء بالمستهزئين يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ؛ يُفْتَحُ لَهُمْ بَابٌ مِنْ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ، فَيُدْعَوْنَ [لِيَدْخُلُوا] فَيَجِيئُونَ؛ فَإِذَا بَلَغُوا الْبَابَ أُغْلِقَ فَيَرْجِعُونَ، ثُمَّ يُدْعَوْنَ لِيَدْخُلُوا فَيَجِيئُونَ؛ فَإِذَا بَلَغُوا الْبَابَ أُغْلِقَ فَيَرْجِعُونَ، ثُمَّ يُدْعَوْنَ لِيَدْخُلُوا فَيَجِيئُونَ، فَإِذَا (ل ٥) بَلَغُوا الْبَابَ أُغْلِقَ فَيَرْجِعُونَ، ثُمَّ يُدْعَوْنَ حَتَّى أَنَّهُمْ يُدْعَوْنَ فَلا يَجِيئُونَ مِنَ الْيَأْسِ)).
