Translation · EN

"O you who have believed, spend from that which We have provided for you," meaning: Zakat. "Before there comes a day in which there is no exchange and no friendship." Qatada said: "And no friendship," meaning: no close companionship, except for the righteous. "And no intercession," meaning: for the polytheists. "And the disbelievers, it is they who are the wrongdoers," to their own selves. [Verse 255]

﴿يَا أَيهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ﴾ يَعْنِي: الزَّكَاة ﴿مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ يَوْمٌ لَا بَيْعٌ فِيهِ وَلَا خلة﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَة: ﴿وَلَا خلة﴾ أَي: وَلا صداقة، إِلَّا لِلْمُتقين ﴿وَلَا شَفَاعَة﴾ أَي: للْمُشْرِكين ﴿وَالْكَافِرُونَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ﴾ لأَنْفُسِهِمْ. [آيَة ٢٥٥]
