draw them to yourself. You say: 'I tilted the thing, so it inclined,' meaning: I pulled it, so it moved toward me. 'Then place on every mountain a portion of them' [Verse 260]. Muhammad said: Meaning: cut them up, then place on every mountain a portion of them; he abbreviated [the phrase by saying] 'cut them up'. 'Then call them, they will come to you' [Verse 260]—say: 'Come by the permission of Allah,' and they will come to you 'in haste' [Verse 260], meaning: walking upon their feet.

Yahya said: He took four birds of different colors, names, and feathers; he took a rooster, a peacock, a pigeon, and a raven. He severed their necks, then mixed the feathers of some with others, and the blood of some with others, then distributed them across four mountains. It was called out from the heavens through revelation: 'O scattered bones, O torn flesh, O severed veins, assemble, for Allah shall return your spirits into you!' So the blood began to flow toward the blood, the feather to fly toward the feather, and the bone to leap toward the bone. He then attached their heads to them and breathed their spirits into them.
