Translation · EN

[Mention] when the wife of Imran said: 'My Lord, indeed I have vowed to You what is in my womb, dedicated [to Your service].' Qatada's interpretation: He said: The wife of Imran had dedicated to Allah what was in her womb, and they used to dedicate the males. When the one dedicated was dedicated, he would be in the mosque, attending to it and sweeping it, never leaving it.
