"And I will make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you." Qatada's interpretation: What Jesus brought was more lenient than what Moses brought; things that were forbidden to them in the Torah were made lawful for them in the Gospel.
﴿وَلأُحِلَّ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي حُرِّمَ عَلَيْكُم﴾ تَفْسِير قَتَادَة: كَانَ الَّذِي جَاءَ بِهِ عِيسَى أَلين مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ مُوسَى؛ أحلّت لَهُم فِي الْإِنْجِيل أَشْيَاء كَانَت عَلَيْهِم فِي التَّوْرَاة حَرَامًا [آيَة ٥٢ - ٥٨]
