"When two parties among you were about to fail," Al-Kalbi said: meaning, the Banu Harithah and the Banu Salamah, two tribes from the Ansar, who had intended not to go out with the Messenger of Allah, but Allah protected them, which is the meaning of His saying: "And Allah is their protector."
