"And He taught Adam the names, all of them; then He presented them to the angels." Mujahid said: Allah created Adam in the final hours of the day on Friday, after He had created all of creation.

Al-Kalbi said: Then He taught him the names of all created beings in Syriac, the first language, as a secret from the angels.
