"O you who have believed, if you obey those who have disbelieved," meaning: the Jews, according to the exegesis of al-Hasan, "they will turn you back on your heels," i.e., to polytheism, "so you will become" in the Hereafter "losers."
﴿يَا أَيهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ تُطِيعُوا الَّذِينَ كفرُوا﴾ يَعْنِي: الْيَهُود؛ فِي تَفْسِير الْحسن ﴿يردوكم على أعقابكم﴾ أَي: إِلَى الشّرك ﴿فتنقلبوا﴾ إِلَى الْآخِرَة ﴿خَاسِرِينَ﴾
