The Messenger of Allah suggested something to us, and we rejected his opinion." So they came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, we will lie in ambush for them in its alleys until they enter, then we shall kill them within it." He said: "It is not fitting for a Prophet to put down his armor once he has put it on until he fights." He said: So the Messenger of Allah spent the night without them, and he saw a vision. He woke up and said: "I saw last night as if cows were being slaughtered, and I said: 'Cows!' and Allah is the best [of observers], and it means that a calamity will occur among you, and you will meet them and defeat them tomorrow; so when you defeat them, do not pursue those who are fleeing."
