"And let not those grieve you who hasten into disbelief"—that is: they chose disbelief over belief, and they are the hypocrites, according to the exegesis of al-Hasan. "Allah intends not to assign to them any portion"—meaning: any share of Paradise. [Verses 178-180]
﴿وَلا يَحْزُنْكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكفْر﴾ (أَي: اخْتَارُوا الْكفْر) على الْإِيمَان، وهم المُنَافِقُونَ؛ فِي تَفْسِير الْحسن. ﴿يُرِيدُ اللَّهُ أَلَّا يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حظا﴾ نَصِيبا من الْجنَّة. [آيَة ١٧٨ - ١٨٠]
