"O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you." He addresses with this those among them who reached the Prophet, peace be upon him; reminding them of what He did [for their ancestors]: that He saved them from the people of Pharaoh, rescued them from drowning, shaded them with clouds, and other such blessings of God that cannot be enumerated. "And fulfill My covenant, [that] I will fulfill your covenant." The interpretation of al-Kalbi: My covenant regarding belief in Muhammad. "I will fulfill your covenant" which I promised you of Paradise. "And fear Me" [8b] is like His saying: "and fear Me."
Muhammad said: It is said: I fulfilled (wafaytu) the covenant and I fulfilled (awfaytu) it.
His saying: "fارهبون (fear Me)" its origin is: "fارهبوني (fear Me)" with a ya, and it was deleted because it is at the end of a verse.
