(And when the relatives attend the division) the verse, meaning: the division of inheritances.
Al-Hasan's interpretation: If they were dividing wealth or property, they were given from it, and if they were dividing houses or slaves, it was said to them: "Go back, may Allah have mercy on you." This is a well-known statement, and Al-Hasan used to say: It is not abrogated. Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib said: It is abrogated, abrogated by the verse of inheritance.
Yahya: And it is the view of the general public that it is abrogated.
٢ - ٢! (وَإِذا حضر الْقِسْمَة أولُوا الْقُرْبَى﴾ الْآيَة، يَعْنِي: قسْمَة الْمَوَارِيث.
تَفْسِير الْحسن: إِن كَانُوا يقتسمون مَالا أَو مَتَاعا أعْطوا مِنْهُ، وَإِن كَانُوا يقتسمون دورا أَو رَقِيقا قيل لَهُم: ارْجعُوا رحمكم الله؛ فَهَذَا قَول مَعْرُوف، وَكَانَ الْحسن يَقُول: لَيست بمنسوخة. وَقَالَ سعيد بن الْمسيب: هِيَ مَنْسُوخَة نسختها آيَة الْمَوَارِيث.
يحيى: وَهُوَ قَول الْعَامَّة أَنَّهَا مَنْسُوخَة.
