“Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture?” meaning the Jews. “They purchase error,” meaning they choose it. “And they wish that you should lose the right path,” meaning the path of guidance. [Ayah 45-47]
﴿أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبا من الْكتاب﴾ يَعْنِي: الْيَهُود ﴿يشْتَرونَ الضَّلَالَة﴾ أَي: يختارون ﴿وَيُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا السَّبِيل﴾ يَعْنِي: طَرِيق الْهدى [آيَة ٤٥ - ٤٧]
