"O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you." Al-Kalbi said: They are the commanders of the military expeditions. "And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger." Qatada said: Meaning, to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger. "That is the best [way] and best in result," meaning: the best outcome in the Hereafter. [Verse 60 - 63]
﴿يَا أَيهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُول وأولي الْأَمر مِنْكُم﴾ قَالَ الْكَلْبِيّ: هُمْ أُمَرَاء السَّرَايَا ﴿فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى الله وَالرَّسُول﴾ قَالَ قَتَادَة: يَعْنِي: إِلَى كتاب الله وَسنة رَسُوله ﴿ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأحسن تَأْوِيلا﴾ يَعْنِي: عَاقِبَة فِي الْآخِرَة.
