"Have you not seen those who claim that they have believed in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer for judgment to the Taghut [false objects of worship or deities]," up to His saying: "they turn away from you in strong aversion." Al-Kalbi said: There was a dispute between a man among the hypocrites and a man among the Jews.
﴿أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يتحاكموا إِلَى الطاغوت﴾ إِلَى قَوْله: ﴿يَصُدُّونَ عَنْكَ صُدُودًا﴾ قَالَ الْكَلْبِيّ: إِن رجلا من الْمُنَافِقين كَانَ بَينه وَبَين رجل من الْيَهُود خُصُومَة؛
