Volume 1 · Page 75675

Translation · EN

"And what is it with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed?" Al-Hasan said: Meaning, and for the oppressed among the Muslims of the people of Makkah. "Who say, 'Our Lord, take us out of this city, whose people are oppressors.'" And they are the polytheists of the people of Makkah.

Muhammad said: "Whose people are oppressors" is an adjective for the city. "And appoint for us from Yourself a protector."
