Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 1 · Page 76984

Translation · EN

"So fight in the cause of Allah; you are not held responsible except for yourself. And encourage [the believers]" (70), meaning: inform them of the good reward of Allah in the Hereafter for the martyrs. "Perhaps Allah will restrain the might of those who disbelieve." And 'perhaps' (ʿasa) from Allah is binding. "And Allah is stronger in might"—in punishment—"and stronger in what He inflicts"—in penalty. [Verses 85-86]
