“And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive their own selves. Indeed, Allah does not like...” meaning: that the Ansari [stole it, meaning] betrayed it. And the Ansari was Tu'mah ibn Ubayriq, and he was a hypocrite.
﴿وَلا تُجَادِلْ عَنِ الَّذِينَ يَخْتَانُونَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ﴾ أَي: أَن الْأنْصَارِيّ [سَرَقهَا أَي] خانها، والأنصاري: طعمة بْن أُبَيْرِق وَكَانَ منافقاً)).
