Then He turned to the people of the Ansari and said: "Here you are, arguing on their behalf in the worldly life; but who will argue with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection, or who will be their guardian?" meaning: a protector over their deeds, according to the tafsir of al-Hasan.
