His saying, the Almighty: [God cursed him, and he said], meaning: Iblis: [I will surely take from Your servants a prescribed portion].
Muhammad said: The meaning is: I set it as a requirement for myself.
قَوْله تعالي: ﴿لَعَنَهُ اللَّهُ وَقَالَ﴾ يَعْنِي: إِبْلِيس ﴿لأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبا مَفْرُوضًا﴾.
وَقَالَ مُحَمَّد: الْمَعْنى: أفترضه لنَفْسي.
