"Indeed, the hypocrites seek to deceive Allah" by their saying, "When they meet those who believe, they say, 'We have believed'; but when they are alone with their devils, they say, 'Indeed, we are with you,'" and that is their deception.
Muhammad said: He will requite them for their deception. "And when they stand for prayer, they stand lazily," regarding it, "showing off to the people," they display what
﴿إِن الْمُنَافِقين يخادعون الله﴾ بقَوْلهمْ: ﴿إِذا لقوا الَّذين ءامنوا قَالُوا ءامنا وَإِذَا خَلَوْا إِلَى شَيَاطِينِهِمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا مَعكُمْ﴾ وَهُوَ خداعهم.
قَالَ مُحَمَّد: يجازيهم جَزَاء الخداع. ﴿وَإِذَا قَامُوا إِلَى الصَّلَاة قَامُوا كسَالَى﴾ عَنْهَا ﴿يراءون النَّاس﴾ يظهرون مَا
