Volume 1 · Page 867164

Translation · EN

"And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before." Muhammad [Ibn Abi Zamanin] said: The meaning is: And We sent messengers whom We have related to you before, "and messengers about whom We have not related to you."

Yahya said: Some said: It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, how many were the messengers?" He replied: "Three hundred and some odd men, a large, complete group." It was said, "Was Adam a prophet who was spoken to, or not spoken to?" He replied: "Rather, he was a prophet who was spoken to."
