Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Aziz by Ibn Abi Zamanin
Volume 2 · Page 1001

Translation · EN

Muhammad said: It is said: "Hasha lillahi" and "Hasha lillahi"—with a ya and without a ya. Its origin in the language is the concept of dissociation; meaning, Allah has dissociated him from that. The word "basharan" (a human) is in the accusative case (mansub) as the predicate of "ma" because "ma" in the dialect of the people of the Hijaz carries the meaning of "laysa" (is not) for negation.
