Translation · EN

And the small game; your hands can reach it by seizing it, 'that Allah may know who fears Him in the Unseen.'

'Whoever transgresses after that.' Al-Hasan said: He says: Whoever transgresses after the prohibition and hunts while in the state of Ihram, then he shall have a painful punishment. Mujahid said: If he kills it while forgetting his state of Ihram, not intending to kill it, then he is liable for the penalty (jaza'). And if he kills it intentionally while mindful of his state of Ihram, then he shall have a painful punishment, and there is no penalty upon him.
