"Cast it over the face of my father; he will become seeing," meaning: he will regain his sight.
He said: Had it not been that he knew this through revelation from Allah, he would have had no knowledge of it.
﴿فَأَلْقُوهُ عَلَى وَجه أبي يَأْتِ بَصيرًا﴾ أَيْ: يَرْجِعُ.
قَالَ: وَلَوْلا أَنَّ ذَلِكَ عِلْمُهُ مِنْ وَحْيِ اللَّهِ، لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ بِهِ عِلْمٌ.
