He said: "I will ask my Lord for forgiveness for you." He delayed that until the time of the dawn (al-sahar).
﴿قَالَ سَوْفَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ رَبِّيَ﴾ أخر ذَلِك إِلَى السحر.
