"God keeps firm those who believe with the firm word in the life of this world and in the Hereafter." Ibn Abbas's exegesis: He said: When the believer is placed in his grave and his companions leave him, an angel comes to him and makes him sit up, then says to him: Who is your Lord? He says: Allah. Then he says: What is your religion? He says: Islam. Then he says: Who is your Prophet? He says: Muhammad. It is said to him: You have spoken the truth. Then a door is opened for him towards the Fire, and it is said to him: Look at this Fire that, had you denied, you would have ended up in; Allah has saved you from it. Then a door is opened for him towards Paradise, and it is said to him: Look at this Paradise, and his dwelling place within it is shown to him. Then his grave is expanded for him, and he continues to receive its scent and coolness until the Hour comes.
As for the disbeliever, when he is placed in his grave and his companions leave him, an angel comes to him and makes him sit up, and says to him: Who is your Lord? He says: I do not know. Then he says to him: What is your religion? He says: I do not know! Then he says: Who is your Prophet? He says to him: I do not know. So he says to him: May you never know. Then a door is opened for him towards Paradise, and he looks at it. Then it is said to him: This is the Paradise that, had you believed in Allah and His Messenger, you would have ended up in; you shall never see it. Then a door is opened for him towards the Fire, and it is said to him: This is the Fire that you are heading towards. Then his grave is tightened upon him, then he is struck with a blow that, if it were to strike a mountain, it would be shattered. He cries out at that with a cry heard by everything except the two weighty ones (mankind and jinn). He said: So that is His saying: "God keeps firm those who believe"—the verse.
Surah Ibrahim from verse (28) to verse (31).
