"And He gave you" meaning: He gave you "from all that you asked Him," that is: and what you did not ask Him for. This is the interpretation of al-Hasan, who says: Everything He has given you is from Him, both what you have asked for and what you have not asked for. "And if you count the favor of Allah, you cannot enumerate it."
Yahya reported, from al-Hasan ibn Dinar, from al-Hasan, from Abu al-Darda who said: "Whoever does not see the favor of Allah upon him except in his food and drink, then his knowledge is scant and his punishment is present."
From the hadith of Yahya ibn Muhammad.
"Indeed, mankind" meaning: the disbeliever, "is most unjust" to himself, "and ungrateful" for the favors of his Lord when he associated others with Him, even though He has bestowed these favors upon him.
Surah Ibrahim from verse (35) to verse (41).
