"The Day when Allah will assemble the messengers and say, 'What was the response you received?' They will say, 'We have no knowledge.'" Mujahid said: Their hearts will be stripped away, so they will not know; then their knowledge will be returned to them, and they will know.
﴿يَوْمَ يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ الرُّسُلَ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أُجِبْتُمْ قَالُوا لَا عِلْمَ لنا﴾ قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ: تُنْزَعُ أَفْئِدَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ، ثُمَّ تُرَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ فَيَعْلَمُونَ.
