"Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare." The exegesis of Ibn Abbas: Abraham came with Hagar and Ishmael and placed them in Mecca near Zamzam. When he departed, Hagar called out to him: "O Abraham!" He turned to her, and she said: "Who commanded you to place me and my son in a land that has neither sustenance, nor vegetation, nor any human companion?" He said: "My Lord." She said: "Then He will not abandon us." When Abraham had departed, he said: "Our Lord, indeed You know what we conceal and what we declare," meaning: of grief, and so on in the verse.
