(That Allah may recompense every soul for what it has earned)—that is, what it has done—(Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning).
Yahya: I heard one of the Kufans say: The judgment among the creation on the Day of Resurrection will take place in the duration of half a day of the days of this world.
﴿لِيَجْزِيَ اللَّهُ كُلَّ نَفْسٍ مَا كسبت﴾ مَا عَمِلَتْ ﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحساب﴾.
يحيى: سَمِعْتُ بَعْضَ الْكُوفِيِّينَ يَقُولُ:
يُقْضَى بَيْنَ الْخَلْقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي قَدْرِ نِصْفِ يَوْمٍ مِنْ أَيَّام الدُّنْيَا.
