[He] said, 'My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on the earth.' He makes the worldly life attractive to them by commanding them with it, and he informs them that there is no resurrection, no reckoning, no Paradise, and no Hell; he whispers that to them. 'And I will surely mislead them'—meaning, I will lead them all astray—'entirely.'
﴿قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُم فِي الأَرْض﴾ يُزَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الدُّنْيَا فِي أَمْرِهِمْ بِهَا، وَيُخْبِرُهُمْ أَنَّهُ لَا بَعْثَ وَلا حِسَابَ وَلا جَنَّةَ وَلا نَارَ؛ يُوسَوِسُ ذَلِكَ إِلَيْهِمْ ﴿وَلأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ﴾ لأضلنهم ﴿أَجْمَعِينَ﴾
