"[Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to] categories of them" - meaning: the wealthy; this is according to the interpretation of Mujahid. "And do not grieve over them" - meaning: the polytheists, if they do not believe. "And lower your wing to the believers" - meaning: be gentle toward those who believe in you.
﴿لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَى مَا متعنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُم﴾ أَصْنَافًا؛ يَعْنِي: الأَغْنِيَاءَ؛ فِي تَفْسِيرِ مُجَاهِد ﴿وَلَا تحزن عَلَيْهِم﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا ﴿واخفض جناحك للْمُؤْمِنين﴾ أَيْ: أَلِنْهُ لِمَنْ آمَنَ بِكَ
