Translation · EN

"And for you in them is beauty when you bring them home"—meaning: when they return to you from grazing. "And when you send them out"—to graze. This is the interpretation of al-Hasan.

Muhammad said: The livestock 'rahat' (returned) and I caused them to return, and they 'sarat' (went out) and I caused them to go out. The 'rawah' (returning) is in the evening, and the 'suruh' (going out) is in the morning. And the meaning of 'for you in them is beauty' is: when it is said:

﴿وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ﴾ أَيْ: حِينَ تَرُوحُ عَلَيْكُمْ رَاجِعَةً من الرَّعْي ﴿وَحين تسرحون﴾ بِهَا إِلَى الرَّعْيِ؛ هَذَا تَفْسِيرُ الْحَسَنِ.

قَالَ محمدٌ: رَاحَتِ الْمَاشِيَةُ وَأَرَحْتُهَا، وَسَرَحَتْ وَسَرَّحْتُهَا؛ الرَّوَاحُ: بِالْعَشِيِّ، وَالسُّرُوحُ: بِالْغُدُوِّ. وَمَعْنَى (لَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ) أَيْ: إِذَا قِيلَ:
