[And the horses], He says: And He created horses, [and the mules and the donkeys for you to ride and as adornment] in riding them; the interpretation of Qatadah: Allah created them for riding and for adornment. [And He creates that which you do not know] of all things, from that which has not been mentioned to you.
Surah An-Nahl from verse (9) to verse (13)
﴿وَالْخَيْل﴾ يَقُولُ: وَخَلَقَ الْخَيْلَ ﴿وَالْبِغَالَ وَالْحَمِيرَ لتركبوها وزينة﴾ فِي رُكُوبِهَا؛ تَفْسِيرُ قَتَادَةَ: خَلَقَهَا اللَّهُ لِلْرُكُوبِ وَلِلْزِينَةِ ﴿وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تعلمُونَ﴾ مِنَ الأَشْيَاءِ كُلِّهَا مِمَّا لمْ يذكر لكم.
