[And upon Allah is the direction of the way], meaning: the path of guidance; like His saying: [Indeed, upon Us is the guidance]. [And among them are some that deviate], meaning: and from it—referring to the way—is that which deviates, and it is the disbeliever who has swerved from the path of guidance.
﴿وعَلى الله قصد السَّبِيل﴾ يَعْنِي: طَرِيقَ الْهُدَى؛ كَقَوْلِهِ: ﴿إِنَّ علينا للهدى﴾ ﴿وَمِنْهَا﴾ أَيْ: وَعَنْهَا؛ يَعْنِي: السَّبِيلَ ﴿جَائِرٌ﴾ وَهُوَ الْكَافِرُ جَارَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ الْهدى
