[And He will say, "Where are My partners, those you used to oppose concerning them?"] meaning: those whom you took as enemies for their sake. Their enmity toward Allah was their worship of idols besides Him. The meaning of "My partners" is: those whom you claimed were My partners.
[Those who were given knowledge said], and they are the believers, ["Indeed, the disgrace this day and the evil are upon the disbelievers"], meaning: the punishment is upon the disbelievers. This conversation will take place on the Day of Resurrection.
﴿وَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تشاقون فيهم﴾ أَيْ: تُعَادُونَ فِيهِمْ، وَعَدَاوَتُهُمْ لِلَّهِ: عِبَادَتُهُمُ الأَوْثَانَ مِنْ دُونِهِ، وَمَعْنَى (شركائي) أَيْ: الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ شُرَكَائِي.
﴿قَالَ الَّذين أُوتُوا الْعلم﴾ وَهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿إِنَّ الْخِزْيَ الْيَوْمَ وَالسوء﴾ يَعْنِي: الْعَذَابَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ؛ وَهَذَا الْكَلَام يَوْم الْقِيَامَة.
