"And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens," meaning: the angels, "and whatever is on the earth of moving creatures, and the angels, while they are not arrogant," regarding the worship of Allah; meaning: the angels. Muhammad said: It was said regarding His saying: "and the angels," meaning: the angels of the earth prostrate.
Surat an-Nahl from verse (51) to verse (56).
﴿وَللَّه يسْجد مَا فِي السَّمَاوَات﴾ يَعْنِي: الْمَلائِكَةَ ﴿وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَالْمَلائِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ﴾ عَنْ عِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ؛ يَعْنِي: الْمَلائِكَةَ. قَالَ محمدٌ: قيل فِي قَوْله: (وَالْمَلَائِكَة) أَي: تسْجد مَلَائِكَة الأَرْض.
